Theo Walcott struck three times as Arsenal beat Newcastle 7-3 in a chaotic and exciting Premier League clash at the Emirates. There were few signs of the drama ahead as the two sides went into the interval locked at 1-1, Walcott’s strike cancelled out by Demba Ba’s free-kick. Stoke 1-3 Newcastle – Demba Ba hat trick and good performance | English Premier League 2011-12

Demba Ba’s hat-trick ensured Newcastle continued their unbeaten run as they moved up to third in the Premier League following victory over Stoke. The Senegal striker headed in Gabriel Obertan’s cross to open the scoring on 12 minutes and followed it up with a close-range finish before half-time. Ba almost ruined his evening when his push on Peter Crouch led to Jonathan Walters’ penalty with 15 minutes left.
