In what will come as a major transfer blow to Manchester United, their league rivals, Chelsea babe joined them in the chase to sign Jadon Sancho from Borussia Dortmund. Sancho is a long-term transfer target for Manchester United and the Red Devils have set it as a priority to complete the English winger’s transfer this summer, but they seem to not be the only club interested.
However, the German club’s director recently poured cold water on the rumors linking the striker with an exit from the club, insisting that they will not be allowing Haaland to leave this club this summer. About Sancho, the director said the club have had a gentleman’s agreement with another club for his potential transfer, giving Chelsea the green light to try and make a bid for him this summer since Haaland is no longer available.
Sancho has also been linked to Real Madrid, but the Los Blancos are said to be more interested in signing Paris Saint-Germain star Kylian Mbappé instead. Some reports claim that Manchester United are the club that the Dortmund director said they have had an agreement with, but there is no confirmation yet.
Solskjær will be hoping that nothing gets in his path in trying to secure the signing of his major transfer target this season as he continues to build a team capable of fighting for titles next season.
